Contests

Please read our Official Rules for our contests in general at the end of this post.  Specific rules for specific contests will be listed below.

From time to time, The Swap Shop will offer various contests and giveaways to our listeners.  We may also offer specific contests here on the SwapShop1050.com website.  The Official Rules will apply to all of our contests unless otherwise listed below regarding a specific prize offering.

General Swap Shop Contests:  You and members of your immediate household are only eligible to win one time within each 30 days.  In some cases, we may make a prize available to anyone at any time.  If that’s the case, we will make that announcement live on-the-air prior to announcing the specific contest. 

Prize Pickup:  Generally, you may pickup your prize at our studios between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday.  Prizes are not available for pickup on Saturday unless otherwise announced on-the-air with our live program.  You MUST pickup your prize by the date and time you were instructed or you will automatically lose that prize.

Piggly Wiggly $25.00 Gift Cards:  Effective Friday, September 16, 2011, winners of the Swap Shop Piggly Wiggly Gift Card will be limited to one winner per household.  If you have won a Gift Card in the past, you nor anyone living in your household, are  eligible to win again until after January 01, 2012.  We have enacted this new rule in order to make the Gift Cards available to more of our listeners.  In order to win, you must be the designated caller after the jingle is played.  Your exact response must be, “Oink, Oink, I’m sticking with the Pig,” in order to win.

Piggly Wiggly Birthday Cake Contest:  At the end of each month, we give one of our Swap Shop listeners a birthday cake courtesy of the Piggly Wiggly Store.  You may enter your name once during the month of your birthday.  Just send us your Name, Address, Phone Number and Date of Birth on a postcard or included in a letter to be eligible.  Drawings are normally held on the last day of each month but may vary depending on the date of broadcasts for that particular month.  Winners will be announced on-the-air and contacted via phone.

Contest Rules for WWGP-WFJA Radio Stations.

Only one winner per household per 30 days.

Unless otherwise noted, winners must be 18 years old or older to win.

Employees of WWGP-WFJA Broadcasting Corporation and their respective families are ineligible to win.

All prizes must be picked up from WWGP-WFJA Broadcasting Corporation during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm at 2201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Sanford, North Carolina.

Winner must provide photo identification to claim their prize.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected by random drawing or another means deemed appropriate by the station.

All prizes are awarded “as is.” No change or conversion of prize for cash will be permitted.

All decisions by station management are final.

All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All  those who win a prize or prizes valued at over $600.00 will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.

Prizes will be forfeited or reassigned if not claimed within 30 days from date of winning, or sooner if announced on-air as a prize that must be picked up by a certain date and time.

Contest rules, dates, or prizes may change at any time at the discretion of the general manager.

In the event that a contest prize becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute another prize.

All contestants give the radio station exclusive right to use their name(s), voice(s), and /or any other likeness for promotional purposes.

Violations of any of these  rules or  attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating,  shall be grounds for station management to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests as well as forfeiture of any prizes won  by fraudulent means.
